FlexSim 2017.2.5 will not load

flexsim-issue-screen-shot.jpgFlexSim 2017.2.5 when opened shows a blank screen with a pop up box titled "System Console". I reinstalled software but it did not change the error. What do I need to do to get this to work on my machine.

A good place to start is the article FlexSim installation or startup error, which details 11 suggestions to solve the problem or at least get more information that will help us to solve the problem.
