I would like to use my own objects not the ones from the library for my models, is it possible to create new objects? Or is it possible to import objects from CAD software like Solidworks, CATIA?

Yes you can import your own custom 3D shapes in FlexSim. Here is the list of supported formats:
I highlighted in bold the formats that I use the most.
To test it, drag and drop an object from the library then browse for your 3D shape:
